If your job is more than three colours, or a colour photograph or logo is included, then CMYK (also known as process or full colour) will be used.
Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black are printed with a separate plate for each colour. These images once printed on top of each other to form the finished full colour print.
Any spot colour can be converted to CMYK and printed using this method. The problem with this is that when converting a spot colour to CMYK, there may be a slight variation to the colour in the finished product. Please find below a sample CMYK process colours. |
